Traveling is a very personal choice. People have different reasons for traveling and different goals in mind when visiting a new country. Some are looking for a temporary escape from their daily lives and wish to relax on a beach. Others are looking for a new favorite food. My motivation for traveling is knowledge of the world. I know… I could not have picked a more broad reason, so let me explain.
I had always been fascinated with visiting new countries and world monuments, however, before my first trip to China in 2009, I actually had not been to many places. It was always the common excuses: lack of money, lack of time, lack of…something. Then, I got the best advice I have ever received: “Julio, go to China, you will always have time to make money when you don’t have vacation.” That trip to visit Xi’an and the Terracotta Army inspired me to make more lists of places to visit and started my travels. Here are the places I have had the good fortune of visiting:
